The Gallery of Art and Design and the UCM Art Education program at the University of Central Missouri will host Gallery Kids in the gallery located at 217 E. Clark in Warrensburg, MO.
Kid and teens ages 8-15 are invited to tour the current exhibitions and create artwork based upon their experience! Each student participating will leave with his or her own piece, created with the assistance of UCM art education students.
Enrollment is open on a first come, first served basis, with the class limited to <10 in order to properly allow for social distancing. Participants, UCM Staff, and UCM Art Education student instructors will be required to wear a face mask and the sharing of materials will be kept to a bare minimum to help make this a safe and clean event.
There is no charge for the events. Parents are welcome to stay for the event or leave their artists with us.
“Our Gallery Kids events have been very popular,” said Christian Cutler, Gallery Director. “We created Gallery Kids as a way to reach out to the community. Our goal is to bring more community members into UCM’s Gallery of Art & Design, which is a wonderful space to experience regional, national and international visual art and design.”
